Who we are
We are the Viking Age Club and Society. Founded in 1973 in Minneapolis, MN we are a non-profit organization focused on the history of the Viking Age in Scandinavia and the Brittish Isles.
The Viking Age: starting with Sack of Lindisfarne in 793A.D. and ending with The Battle of Hastings in 1066, our members put together a kit of historical dress and learn a Viking Age craft or skill to demonstrate at our events.
We have: weavers, cooks, warriors, wood workers, blacksmiths, leather workers and more!
If you ever wanted to try living history and reenactment, we welcome people of all cultures and creeds. While our focus is Scandinavia, the Silk Road and other parts of the world were doing exciting things during the Viking Age. The Norse interacted with many cultures across the globe, so being norwegian is not a requirement.
Our club is available to be hired for appearances at your Festivals, corporate events, Cuture Fests, and Municipal Celebrations etc! Fill out the contact form below for more information.

One of our premium offerings. Open Flame Cooking brings the culinariy arts and traditions of Viking Age Scandinavia back to life. Our partnership with Modern Urban Viking Cooking stimulates the senses of today. (Note: due to the health codes of the USDA, the public does not get to taste our yummy delicious food.)
